6-8-09 - Helping with the dishes

Jaden is growing way too fast! He just stole the dish sponge right out of the sink. Yes, he can stand and put his face in the sink! In two months he has doubled in size!

6-4-09 - Jaden gets neutered today

I am a nervous wreck! The vet staff must think I am crazy. I wanted to stay with him the whole time. They finally convinced me he will be ok so I left... Bad idea to go shopping in this state of mind. I just spent $100 in sympathy dollars at Petco. (Jaden needed "after surgery feel better toys"). Ok, ok, I feel bad so I had to spoil him more to make up for it.

When I went to pick him up he was happy and acted like nothing ever happened. He sure loves his new toys too. So much that I had to temporarily put them up so he would stay calm.

Jaden Locked Me Out!

5-30-09 - Always lock the door!

How do I explain this?! My dog locked me out of the house! I was taking the trash out the back door to the garage. As I shut the door behind me I heard a click. Jaden locked me out of the house! Yes, it is a dead bolt which can only be turned from the inside to lock or from the outside with a key. He jumped up on the door when I closed it and his paw slid down right over the knob! (I'm glad he knew it was me breaking in to the house)! Hmm, I wonder if he did it on purpose? Nooooo...???

This little bean stalk weighes in at the vet at 45 lbs! (He was 25 lbs 2 months ago)!

5-23-09 - Webbed feet

Jaden loves our neighbors and their two beautiful dogs Thawgn Dee and Hopie. We go for walks with them quite often. Normally we walk in their back pasture however, this time, we went for a walk in mine. Yes, I have a pond and yes, Jaden's webbed feet work quite well. I'm glad he does not look like a smurf from the blue dye in the pond!

5-18-09 - Hide & Seek

Note to Self...Hide & Seek is NOT a good idea! Jaden and I were playing chase through the house. He got distracted with one of his toys. I peeked around the corner to see where he was. The room I was in was dark... Barking, running, anal gland explosion...again! (See Mother's Day blog). Once again, spent evening mopping, bathing Jaden and doing laundry.
