Jaden Toilet Papers the House

April 29th

Jaden sure had fun when I was home sick. First he pulled the toilet paper roll from the guest bathroom all the way across the living room. Then shreds it! Later he pulls half the Kleanex out of the box and shreds it too! No rest for the weary around here.

Hmmm, infomercial..."The Perfect Dog Training System" by Don Sullivan otherwise known as "The DogFather". Credit card out, placed order.

April 24th - Snack time

Jaden just loves to play outside. Especially when he wants a snack! He loves to catch the crawfish right from the back yard...and eat them. He is so proud of himself!

April 24th - Family visit

Grandma and Aunt Barbie (my Mom and sister), came over to visit. Jaden has lots of fun. He even takes his favorite blue puppy for a walk. He took the leash and walked (or pulled) his puppy through the house. Too cute!

April 12th - Easter Sunday

Jaden goes to Grandma's house for Easter. He has lots of fun with the family, especially Abbey, Mom's little black lab. He is almost the same size as her and love to give her lots of puppy kisses. I think he was trying to distract her to steal her treats. She got him back and stole his chew bone. Pout city! Just like little kids it was back to fun and play in no time.

Don't be Fooled

April 11th - Tantrum

Don't be fooled by this little cutie. Today he learned how to throw a temper tantrum. He has been so good and has not begged...until now. It wasn't exactly begging either... it was more like a temper tantrum. I had food. Jaden wanted some. Didn't get any. So, he starts jumping up and down in place and silently barking, or what is more commonly known as "mouthing" off to me. Hmmm, yellowbook, Obedience Training.

4-5-09 - Day One

After loading up on toys, dog food, chewy bones, dog bed,...
ok, ok, after starting day one with spoiling my new puppy Jaden familiarizes himself with his new surroundings:
First stop, Jeff & Am's house, my new friends and neighbors ...and meeting Hopie and Thawgn Dee. He loves them!
Next was intruduction to his new home and barking at Shrek on TV. (Shrek scared him!) Yes, Jaden watches television. Then, on to growling at his reflection in the refrigerator.

Jaden also enjoys a visit and more toys and treats from Grandma (Mom) & Aunt Barbie (my sister).


4-6-09 - Day Two

Jaden goes to the vet. He is so well behaved (at the vet that is). Exam,
puppy shots, wormer, more toys...

Wow! I think I just spent more then my car note in less than 24 hours! He's my baby! Yes, I'm one of those. My dog is my child.

Jaden gets a new leash at the vet. He doesn't like it much but he learns very fast. Including how to take it and walk himself!

It's a Boy!

April 5th, 2009 - Day 1

After a very long wait I finally made the decision to start a family. No, not the kind you are thinking of. This one has a cold nose, big feet, floppy ears, and 8 brothers and sisters. Yes... a puppy! Not just any puppy, this is a Rhodesian Ridgeback puppy.

When I arrived there were 3 boys and 1 girl left to choose from. It was not an easy choice at first, but after an hour of being attacked by puppies, licked, chewed on, torn shirt and stolen sunglasses, I was on my way home with my new little boy, Jaden. This is where the adventures begin...
